Welcome to Martial Sports Karate and Kickboxing academy.  The school is owned and run by Matt Talbot and Jamie Fearn with over 30 years combined experience in Martial Arts.  Matt currently has a 4^th Degree Black belt in Wado Ryu Karate and a 2nd  Degree Black belt in Cobra Kickboxing.  Jamie currently has a 3^rd Degree Black belt in Wado Ryu Karate and a 2nd Degree Black belt in Cobra Kickboxing.  Both are fully CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked and insured.  For clarification you can ask your instructor to see their certificates verifying this.  Martial Sports currently has 15 classes running each week with over 250 members and these are:

Membership to Martial Sports is FREE and there is no commitment to signing any direct debit or monthly standing orders.  Lessons are priced at £3.50 per person per lesson.  Also available are suits, white and black t-shirts, kata DVD’s, syllabus booklets and much more.

All of the classes follow the same schedule and syllabus so you are able to fit training around your own schedule, and even moving to different classes each week if you need to.  Gradings are every three months were you are able to grade for you next belt all gradings are charged at £15 per person which includes your new coloured belt and certificate if you pass.  A yearly calendar is available separately clearly indicating the times during the year gradings will be conducted. Black Belt gradings are conducted twice yearly normally around March and October time each year and are conducted in Manchester in front of a panel of grading examiners for photo's of previous grading events please select the black belt registry above.

Martial Sports is a community of friends, and we run courses throughout the year for all of our members to get together and socialize, these include competitions, summer parties and Christmas parties, come along enjoy yourself, get fit and make new friends like many people already have.

Please feel free to come along to any of the above classes, your first lesson is even FREE, call in advance for directions or just turn up on the night.  Martial Sports and all of its Instructors teach all ages and grades, you are not pressurised to purchase expensive equipment or train several times a week, learning is at your own pace with as much or as little assistance as you need with private tuition always available, the only items we do ask your purchase within the first 2-3 months of training are a suit (£12.50) or kickboxing trousers and t-shirt and a license (£12 per year), that way you can make sure you like the training and will stick at it before making any purchases.
